Description

Rocker switch.  5 pin configuration wire the switch to your accessory and have the bottom LED illuminate when you turn the key on.  Top LED will illuminate when rocker is toggled into the on position. LED Color will be the same on top half as bottom half.  We do have other options for color bodies such as green or white and some half and half, meaning green bottom white top and so on.  Please contact us at Whiptechled@gmail.com if you would like other options.

Wiring suggestions

Pin Number
2- is power in from battery/keyed power
3- is power out to device when toggled on
6- is 12v power for lower led (upper led automatically comes on when toggled on) usually through keyed power.
7 &8-  is ground for led in switch. Switch will still work without ground but the LED will not illuminate.

If power comes from directly from battery and you jump pin 2 to 6 the bottom led will be on continuously on and will not be able to turn off.

If power comes from keyed source into pin 2 and jump to pin 6 bottom led will illuminate when key power is in ACC mode.

You can also bring power from battery to pin 2  and have a separate keyed power into pin 6 this will illuminate bottom led when there is keyed on power.  Led will turn of with key but you will still have ability to use rocker switch to power item without keyed power being on.  Example whip light switch toggled on will turn on whips if key is not in vehicle.

Switch function is power into pin 2 out through pin 3 to device when toggled on.

If powering large amperage items (such as a light bar) you will run the switch leg to the Relay that then will open current from battery to light bar limiting the amperage passing through the switch.
