With the increasing number of Electric Bicycles on the street it is important to increase your safety and visibility from cars and other bikes. While driving many times we do not see bicycles till the last second, With a Whiptech LED whip you can increase the chances of being seen before its too late. Using a proven product molded and design for the harsh environment off Road use, we worked out a way to bring it to the street for your E Bike. We started with a simple axle bracket mounting system that will allow most bike that ability to connect the whip to most bikes. Some bikes may have a rack in back which may provide a good mounting point also. Please make sure that rack is strong and sturdy and can support the whip. The longer the Whip the more stress it will place on the mounting location while moving due to wind and movement down the road. The Multicolor whip will be powered by a stand alone 12 volt battery pack that will allow the whip to work, for several hours, without having to tap into the bike power source that may compromise the warranty. Power is connected to the lighted whip via 30″ lead from the battery pack. It is recommended to purchase a small pouch that can mount to bicycle to house the Battery pack and then securely fastening the wire to the bike using zip-tys or something similar. Unfortunately at this time we do not offer anything on our site, for our personal bikes we have found several options on amazon that seem to work well
The Spiral whip will allow you to use an Infrared Remote to select from the 20 preset static colors, 6 DIY static colors, and 5 programmed dynamic modes (Flashing, fading,and jumping modes). DIY Colors allows you to create and store a color that may not be able to with traditional single color LED whip. Select your size from 1′ to 4′.
All Lighted whips purchase here will come with battery pack and axle mount. If you do not wish to purchase those items, and will provide your own 12 volt source to power the lighted Whip, please click Here Multicolor Spiral whip option and select desired product there. You will receive the whip, remote control, and generic RCA input to power it.
We also offer a tube mount for small round tube between .875″ and 1.375″ Click here for TUBE MOUNT option. This will allow you to mount higher on the bike and for better visability.
Battery pack is small in size (3000ma) to allow easier storage on bike that being said it will provide about 2 hours of run time for a 4′ lighted whip, 2.5-3 hours for a 3′, 3+ hours for a 2′
All whips include a 44key IR remote to control the whip. Remotes are universal and can work on multiple whips and camp locators.
All our whips are hand assembled in the southern California with parts manufactured locally and LED strips coming from China. This allows us to repair, warranty, and make custom sizes for you.
